Weeks 1–2
Brief & Design
We translate your interior vision into production-ready specifications. This is the most important phase, ambiguity here is the primary cause of delays and cost overruns in custom furniture projects.
- 45-minute consultation call to review scope, materials and aesthetic direction
- Mood board alignment: we confirm reference pieces and reject anything outside the workshop's production range
- Technical drawings per piece, reviewed and approved by you before production starts
- Material and finish selection from physical samples (sent by courier if needed)
- Unit pricing confirmed and production schedule signed off
- Production begins on receipt of 50% deposit
Weeks 3–7
Production
The workshop team dedicates this phase entirely to your order. Production is sequenced, structural frames first, then finishing, then upholstery and hardware, so quality checks happen at each stage, not just at the end.
- Dedicated production schedule shared with you on day one
- Photo updates every three working days via shared folder
- Mid-production review at week 5: video call with the workshop team to walk through progress
- Any design queries resolved within 24 hours
- Materials pre-approved before cutting, no substitutions without sign-off
- Independent quality manager on site throughout production
Week 8
Quality Control & Loading
Every piece is inspected against the original specification before it is wrapped and loaded. This phase cannot be rushed, it is the last point at which any issue can be corrected without impact on your timeline.
- Piece-by-piece QC against the specification checklist
- Dimensional verification (tolerances: ±3mm on frames, ±1mm on hardware)
- Finish and colour consistency check across all pieces in the order
- Full photography of every piece before protective wrapping
- Custom timber crating for fragile or large pieces
- Export documentation: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading
Weeks 9–16+

Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order quantity?
We work with a minimum of one 20ft container, which typically holds 25–40 pieces depending on size and packaging. Most hotel projects ship in a 40ft HC container (60–90 pieces).
How long does production take?
Production takes 4–5 weeks for a standard container once the design is approved and the 50% deposit received. Rush orders (6 weeks total) are possible for smaller quantities at a surcharge.
What does the 8-week timeline include?
The 8 weeks cover: design alignment (1–2 weeks), production (4–5 weeks), and quality control + container loading (1 week). Shipping from Bali is additional and ranges from 2 weeks (SE Asia) to 8 weeks (Caribbean/Mediterranean).
What happens if a piece arrives damaged?
We replace it. All pieces are photographed before loading. If damage occurs in transit and we have photo evidence of condition at loading, we will reproduce and reship the affected pieces at no additional cost.
Do you handle customs clearance?
We handle Indonesian export documentation. In the destination country, we coordinate with a local freight forwarder who manages customs clearance, duties and final delivery. We currently have partners in the EU, UK, UAE, Maldives and the United States.
Can I visit the workshop during production?
Yes. We welcome client visits, particularly at the mid-production review point (week 5). Travel to Dalung, Bali is at your own cost. We can arrange accommodation recommendations and airport transfers.
